  1. Dim Mak focuses on chi and pressure points. There are hundreds of martial arts to choose from so find all of the schools in your area and research the styles they teach and take the one(s) that interests you the most. Maybe you could post the different schools and their styles on here for us to evaluate.

  2. Most arts make at least some use of pressure points in some manner or another. You should realize though the directly manipulating pressure points with strikes, grabs, etc. is extremely difficult within the chaos of a fight. Take a look at what schools are available, visit and meet the instructor and class you'd be attending if possible, and ask your questions of them to find out if they will teach you those things when they feel you're ready to learn them.

As for other activities, my brother has gotten me hooked on flying traction kites, training up to hopefully go snow kite boarding this winter. It's surprisingly fun, and burns about 100 calories in 20 minutes (roughly equivalent to taking a leisurely walk for a mile).

I don't know what kind of area you're in (what the terrain is like)... If you're near the ocean, you could surf. Parkour is a great way to make running fun (or not tedious). Dancing is great (especially in combination with martial arts to help your footwork).

There's always the usual sports and forms of exercise, but other than that, I don't know what else to recommend. Hope you find something you enjoy!

  3. Participating in martial arts is a great way to make friends!

I'd say that if you have a few to choose from you should go with an excellent instructor and friendly students.  I'm pretty sure most of them don't start out with serious stuff like pressure points anyway.

It sounds like you'll need something that interests you. But I think you'll also definitely want to find some new friends (hopefully you'll even end up hanging out outside of classes!)  So, visit different schools and see if you can sit in on beginner classes.  I'd say it's a safe bet that you'll fit in with the ones that have students your age. :)
