please list reasons why you chose your answer, i dont care for the room or view i just want decent food that is included with thr all inclusive package i paid for, i get a choice of these and i never been to any of them . the reviews arent good enough for me to make a decision , i think the staff wrote the reviews because they all sound the same. thanks alot people.

We didn't stay at any of those, but I've heard great things about the Melia resorts.  Sorry I can't be of more help.

Well, if you only care for decent food, choose any. All are delicious.

If you are paying for an allinclusive hotel, all offer at least the same, an all inclusive hotel.  There are strict regulations in this area that makes hotels give what they offer to the tourist. I would say the differences always lie in what the client wants:

do you want a beach hotel?

Peace and tranquility or partying?

A choice of different restaurants or just a buffet?

Tennis court and golf court?

A new room or an old room (old hotels are a bit... well... old, and offer what was offered 20 years ago).

I have never heard of Arenas and please, don´t go to Solymar, it is owned by a convicted pedophile, so all your money goes to his account.

I have heard wonderful stories about the Melia(s) the Sunsets, the Omni and the Maya Caribe.  I have heard no bad stories about the others.

Have fun, go for what you want (family oriented? peace and quiet? party? beach (some places in cancun have sea front vista but not a beach)?

I haven't been to any of these hotels, but as I was planning my trip to Cancun, I used www.tripadvisor.com.  They have tons and tons of reviews from travelers who just returned.  They are very honest and helpful....definitely not written by staff members.

YAHHH Cancun!!  I'll be there in a month!!

The Melia Gran Is absolutly wonderful! They treat you like royalty and have a great beach! I have stayed there twice and would recommend it to you.

Another travel trip for you, take the bus rather than the taxi. A taxi can cost you up to 20 dollars per trip, and the bus is only 60 cents. The buses run all night long and are safe and easy to follow. There are only 2 routes : R1--- goes to the downtown district and R2 returns to the Hotel zone. So whichever side of the road you get on from the hotel to get to the downtown area, you should get on the opposite side of the road to go home.
