Just your opinion... Randomly searching the web for horses and I will eventually (in a few years) purchase A horse.

Jazzi is a Mare Buckskin QH

#1. http://horsetopia.horse-for-sale.org/classifieds/ad308722

Daisy is a Chestnut Morgan Mare

#2. http://horsetopia.horse-for-sale.org/classifieds/ad313533

Also does anyone know if there are businesses/people that transport horses(in Wisconsin)?

If so what would they charge per mile??

Also if you find another horse that is under $1,400 that is better and IN the state of Wisconsin you could post it too...

Thanks in advance for answering.

  1. #2 other is funky

  2. I would (just of description and pictures) tend to go for Jazzi. I think she looks kinder, and i like horses that are advertised with photo's and/ or video's of prople riding them! I think it makes the ads more real and if they advertise without pictures of people riding i always ask WHY??? i also think just off the pics that Daisy looks more flighty. This could be totally wrong but thats the impression i got. It also depends how much experience you have, If you are confident and secure with ur riding and want a gental ride id go with Jazzi, but if you wanted to have a little experinment id go with Daisy. Hope this helped. Good luck

  3. Jazzi

  4. Yikes, I didn't even need to look at more than one photo of the second horse.  She looks like something off of FHOTD (no offense to you or her owners intended!)  The first mare is a pretty little thing, and she has a nice shoulder.  Her neck is a bit upright...she looks almost Arab-y in a couple of the photos.  See the bulge on the underside of her neck?  That being said, that may be able to be improved upon by proper riding and conditioning.  Bad riding, tie downs, etc. etc. etc. can really develop the heck out of that muscle and make matters ten times worse.  She does have a bit of an obstinate expression, like she is the boss mare...but you'd obviously have to meet her in person and assess her that way to determine how accurate that is.  Other than her neck, she looks pretty good.  Doesn't hurt that she has lovely coloring, either...

  5. Kat & mia BFFL

Kat: i personally like jazzi kinder eyes, a wonderfull colour and looks like a nice, calm horse to be around, deffinantly like the 1st one :o)

Mia: i also say jazzi, because i like her colour more and she looks really friendly. and i think she would be a grwat horse overall! good luck xo :o)

  6. Jazzi is beautiful.

Finding a perfect horse is like finding a supermodel within a small village. Not every horse will have perfect 100% conformation.

I hate all this small attention to conformation. Of course buy the best that your money will buy, but take someone experienced along with you when buying a horse. Good Luck.

  7. I think it depends on what you want the horse for. If your just looking for a nice trail horse, I wouldn't worry so much about conformation. If your looking to show, then of course you'll want a horse that's put together well. Not every horse can be perfect. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. A horse with poor conformation can be the perfect horse for the right person. I have seen horses with poor confirmation out last horses with great confirmation in soundness.

add; I forgot about the horse hauling question. You could try asking around at feed stores, tack stores, stables and such or go on-line and just enter what your looking for.

Horse #1 looks to be better suited for riding western or hunter and the #2 horse would be suited better for saddle seat I think.

  8. I personly would not buy either. Jazzi is slighty swade back and thereis somthing about Daisy's confermation I just don't like and there are no pictures of her being ridden.

  9. Being that you don't plan to buy a horse for a few years, do as your doing and randomly look and become familiar with what to look for and see what you observe that would make the horse a good choice or not.  Be critical but yet open minded as nothing is perfect.

Also, I suggest you read the descriptions...because with these two, both were purchased based on looks, price..who knows what... but,  in the meantime BOTH are being sold because they ended up being unsuitable for their intended riders.  Sad situation considering the horse market is flat right now for these types of horses.  People like this will probably get desperate to find a suitable horse that they will enjoy and these guys might end up in the hands of a broker and then who knows what their future will be.

So, the moral of this post is...looks aren't everthing.... and it is very important that trying a horse and perhaps trying it again as well as having an experienced horse person go with you for an HONEST opinion will help in making sure that a suitable mount is found and you will live happily ever after with your choice!!  But, there are no guarantees..and most don't come with money back guarantees...unless you are able to lease first.

    Good Luck!!

  10. okay well i like the morgan (horse #2) and her confirmationis not bad at all, she's a morgan so she will have a different build! and i don'tlike jazzy's high head set..i think it depends on what you use them for, i think Daisy would make a good english, dressage horse maybe a western horse? i dunno how morgans do under western

but jazzy is pretty small and petite and lean so she would look better as an english horse but she's not trained in english

if you told us what you are planningto do with the horses i could better tell you if they would be good for you or not

but all in all i would def take daisy..jazzy is adorable and i love Qh's but morgans are just as wonderful and have great minds.  OH and i liked daisy's feet better too.. morgans always have good dark and strong feet

but it is just a picture whichever horse has the strongest feet is thehorse i would get..i'm guessing it's daisy

  11. The first is definately more conformationally sound then the 2nd.

However, the first has a high set neck, so that will be more difficult to frame up and drive them under themselves.  They dont show the legs

The 2nd, what a fugly horse blog dream.  The horse is sickle hocked, long back, weak rump, I dont remember what else.

    Definately veer away from 2.

  12. I know this is going to sound awful, but if I had to pick one, I guess it would be the buckskin QH... honestly probably wouldn't buy either of them. There are lots of sites where you can sort horses for sale by state.  Horseville is one of them.  As long as you are just randomly searching and not yet ready to buy you can be REALLY critical.

  13. I like Jazzi because of her gentle look.

Im not sure where to get a good horse in IN.

But I would just look around on the internet.

    Hope I helped!!

  14. they both look a bit of a handfull, but the first one has much better confirmation, so it depends what they are needed/used for.

  15. JAZZI

that Morgan has some serious back length issues, where they breeding bridges or horses

  16. I like #1, hes cute and hes alot younger than #2.

  17. #2 is the one I like best but not sure about the transport question.

  18. I like Jazzi better. She has kinder eyes. Daisy looks like a handful and not too people friendly. Jazzi looks like a sweetheart and I would buy her, provided she is healthy and has no major vices.

  19. If those were the only two horses on earth I had to choose from..... I would pick the first. There is just something that looks weird about #2 on top of her unproportioned body... The only reason why I would pick #1 is because she is the exact same color as my new filly... except with no white.

Honestly I don't think either one of them are a good choice because you aren't just having to pick just between the two. I would keep looking and even if their aren't any now you will find a horse better then the both of them in the price range that you want if you just look hard and long enough...

    Good luck on your quest.
