Outback to land victory in the Free Online Bingo At Freebetting.co.uk Maiden Stakes at Southwell
Southwell is expected to deliver a terrific race in the Free Online Bingo At Freebetting.co.uk Maiden Stakes, which is scheduled to take place on 27th
March, 2012. The standard 1 mile race holds a purse of £2,386 which the 12 runners will be competing for.
Outback is the favourite with winning odds of 7 to 4, and he will be competing against Elavssom, Feeling Good, Fisher, Haywain, Jawbreakeronastick, Lanarkshire, Meljana, Ossie’s Dancer, Highway Warrior, Lady Kashaan and Supaheart.
Outback, trained by Ann Duffield for Sir Robert Ogden, will be making his seasonal debut in this race. The three-year-old began his racing career on 22nd July, 2011 at Down Royal, where he finished eleventh in a line-up of thirteen
in the Gordons Gin European Breeders Fund 2YO Median Auction Maiden. Since then, the son of Kodiac, out of mare Florida City, has shown remarkable improvement.
He finished as a runner-up in the second race of his career under W.M. Lordan. He was defeated by, Daddy Long Legs, by a narrow margin of 1 ½ lengths in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden at Gowran Park on 10th
August, 2011.
His performances have had many ups and downs, but he still has the potential to improve. The closing race of his season was somewhat disappointing, as he finished ninth in the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund 2YO Median Auction Maiden at
Dundalk on 4th November, 2011.
Teamed with Tom Eaves, this race will give him an opportunity to excel, and start off the season in an impressive manner. This will be a debut for the runner under Duffield’s training as he trained under David Wachman until 21st March,
2012.
Supaheart looks in good shape for this race. Owned by Sir Martyn Arbib, she is trained by Hughie Morrison. This will be three-year-old filly’s season debut, as she last competed in October 2011. With the promising effort in her last race, she has given
the odds of 5 to 2 for this race.
The daughter of Lion Heart, out of mare Supamova, debuted at Salisbury on 10th October, 2011, where she finished ninth in the Bathwick Tyres Maiden Fillies’ Stakes. Mounted by Steve Drowne, she settled in the rear, but did
not make enough effort to increase her speed. Finishing in this place was expected as she posed no threat to the leaders at any point of the race.
Her performance considerably improved in the Julia Tooth Memorial EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Newbury, 2011. This time ridden by Robert Havlin, she managed a sixth place finish. She maintained a steady pace and led in the final two furlongs, she
then showed signs of exhaustion and weakened, finishing 6 ¾ lengths adrift of winner Shirocco Star.
It is expected that, Outback, will lead this race but Supaheart may challenge his run. Her form has been improving and may begin the season with an impressive victory. Competing against newcomers, chances are these two runners will land the first
two places.
