Outboard HP?

Question

I just bought this outboard motor. Its a Yamaha 2 stroke with a small internal gas tank. It seems to be rather new. Other than that i know nothing about it. The seller knew very little about it other than the fact that it started and ran, so he gave me a good deal on it. It works great, starts right up and moves my small boat right along.

There is no model # or serial # anywhere on the motor, and all the cover says is "Yamaha" my question is: is there any way that i will be able to tell how many horse power the motor is?

Take it to the nearest Yamaha dealer and have them look at it.....if they are familiar with thier products....they should be able to tell you.

outboards that are with a fuel thank builtin wont be bigger than 5hp to make sure what have you got go and see Yamaha
