Outdoor question 'bout mosquitoes?

I heard 1 of the vitamin B-(?) helps repel mosquitoes. I am from South Texas and due to the recent tropical storms every time I go fishing,camping or hunting, I end up leaving due to mosquito bites. I know Off and other insect repellents work but if you apply this stuff to yr. skin and then face the sun, it's like putting petroleum on yr skin and putting yr. flesh in the fire. What vitamin helps?
