Outer ankle painful when snowboarding?

When snowboarding regular, my outer ankle starts to hurt. it feels like its my pernoeus tendon that is hurting.. or around that area. As i keep riding, the pain gets worse and worse. anybody know how to get rid of the pain??? thanks

  1. I went to the doctor and said " Doc, it hurts when I do this"

    He said " Don't do that"


  2. This could be from alot of things. You maybe buckling your binding straps too tight. Maybe your stance and the angle of your bindings need some adjusting. Maybe you just need to do some stretching exercises in that area. Try a little bit of everything and see if it improves or goes away.

  3. Ride your snowboard, don't let your snowboard ride you. What I mean is change your body position over your board. Your probably leaning back too much. Try a more aggressive style. Lean forward and attack the mountain. Don't be scared. You'll learn to ride better doing this and your ankles won't hurt anymore. Been riding for 18 years and this same thing has happened to newer riders I know and it's helped them a lot.
