Question:

Outer foot pain from running?

After running for a distance and especially after my run, the outer portion of my foot next to my little toe on my right foot becomes very sensitive. Almost a burning sensation. I thought it was my shoes, which I had specifically recommended after having my gait analized. I added Super Feet insoles, have used Glide to prevent chafing, altered sock types, but still no relief... Anything else I should try or does anyone else have this same issue?

  1. A podiatrist would be your best resource.

  2. I had that problem when I was younger, I came to the conclusion that it was from me running so many circles. like it was always my inside foot that hurt and I was always running on roads that made a circle so every curve and every turn that same foot was on the inside, and same when you run around a track. I don't know if this is the same case with you but if so just try running the loops or the track backwards so your one foot can have a break while the opposite one is on the inside.
