Outfit for first day of school?

I'm thinking of wearing something like this

except the jackets brown and the necklace has a glass rose and pink and gray beads.

Comments? Suggestions?

I like the outfit, it's nice and simple.  However, i'm not really digging the necklace, perhaps one that is a bit more smaller.  

Don't go overboard on the first day of school, i.e. wearing all of your new clothes, people will think that you're trying too hard.

But i like the outfit you've picked!
