Outlet timer?

I want to add an outlet timer to the pump on my well to water my garden for an hour a day. Any idea which timer I should get? I have searched online and have seen a 3 amp and a 15 am timer. Will either of these do the trick?

It depends upon the power rating of your pump.  If the pump exceeds 3A, the smaller timer switch will quickly fail.  All electrical devices are required to  have a nameplate that lists current requirements, so you can check.  If the rating exceeds the 3A maximum, you'll hae to get the stronger 15A rated device.
