Outlook Express question.?

Question

My computer was down for a couple of weeks, but now back on line.

Trouble is, in Outlook Express, my 'sent' emails go out with the date 01/01/00. Incoming emails have the correct time and date. How can I rectify the outgoing time and date? Please make your answers as simple as possible, as I am a computer dinosaur.
