Outrigger Island VBS 2008?

This year I am the lead teacher for the 3 year olds at Outrigger Island VBS this year. It's my first year teaching, and only my third year doing VBS ever. Any tips?

Make sure you have lots of activities for 3 year olds.   Lots of action songs.   Don't expect them to be able to sit very long as you "tell" a story.   Use visuals and try to use them as characters in your Bible story if possible.   Some may have separation anxiety so try to redirect them from that situation by having things out for them to do immediately as they wait for the other students; ie., color page with a few crayons at each seat, play dough (just a little), blocks, picture books to look through, etc.   If you are over an hour in your room, try to give them a little snack (but check for allergies...).
