  1. Think of pressing your pinky or baby toe down on the bottom of your skate to hold your outside edge.  Sometimes just that simple visualization or trick seems to help.  For inside, press with your big toe.  Make sure your skates are tied correctly and there aren't any sharpening problems either.  Practice just holding the edge on a circle.  Good luck!

  2. make sure your skate is tied tightly and comfortably around your ankle. try to put your weight on the center of both feet and keep your upper body balanced. you can practice balancing on your left leg on dry land to see how you stand and make it more stronger. hope this helped!!

  3. OMG! I used 2 do that too.... Anyway, I got over it... Try bending your knees more and make sure you put weight on your hips and dont hit your toepick...

  4. When you bend your knee does your foot fall in?  If it does you pronate (not uncommon) and need to have that blade (or maybe both) moved to the inside of the boot.  If you move it all the way to the inside and you still have this problem, you can have a lift placed between the boot and blade just on the inside half of the blade.  If you still have this problem after all of that, then you can add an orthotic inside the boot.

I have done all 3 to my daughter's boots - she is flat footed.
