Outside clear plastic cover on ice shute

Question

How do I remove the clear plastic cover over the ice shute on the outside of the refrigerator door for cleaning? Do I have to dismantle the whole thing or does it just snap off?  was afraid of breaking it, if I tried to just snap it off.
