  1. bad switch

  2. sounds like they are on a sensor and the sensor is in override mode. Try turning the inside switch on and off within a couple of seconds. this usually will reset the sensor to normal operation.

If not on a sensor the switch could be broken.

  3. Disconnect the inside switch by removing one of the wires.  If the outside light is still on, check if the wiring to the light is direct to the light or to a photo cell switch, if to the photo cell, disconnect and replace.

  4. 1. Check that the switch you are using is the correct switch to the light.

    2. Check that there are or are not other switches that control the light (e.g. photosensor or timer).

    3.  Replace as appropraite.

  5. You sure it's not a sensor. I mean it could be on due to the fact that your standing there. Does it go off once no one is around?

  6. Change the switch.

If you use photo eyes, change that.

    Do this every day!
