how do you wire up two sensors to work one light? i know how to make one sensor light up the light but unsure how to connect two sensors up to one light.

the idea is because i have a light on the side of my house and want it to light up when i walk from the front to the back or back to front, if that makes sense, hard to explain without showing what the house is like.

if i connected up two sensors the same as you connect one if both dettects movement will that the double the voltage going to the bulbs??

  1. You can't double the voltage no matter what you do. Just keep the wires to the same colours and you should be ok.

  2. Simple- just connect the second sensor to the first in parallel, i.e, link the 3 terminals like for like, you will be able to adjust each one separately for time/light etc, dont forget that if you are moving from one to the other (zone) then the second one will also detect you and the last movement will count.

  3. if both sensors are on the same circuit you will be ok.... if one breaker shuts off both sensors then they are on the same circuit....if they are on seperate circuits there is a possibility to feed it 240V instead of 120V, at that point call an electrician.... and you can wire it so either sensor turns on the light.... the output wire (usually red) connects to the light, so at the fixture where the light is there would be two wires feeding the lamp, so if either one turns on then the light will go on.
