  1. You can board her or have someone come over and watch  her.

  2. having a neighbor you trust come over and feed your cat and clean the litter box will be great. but make sure the neighbor keeps her company

  3. My neighbors are gone for a period of four days and I am taking care of their cats now.

I would suggest that you get somebody in your neighborhood, maybe a teenager or somebody who likes cats. This way, if you leave, they are close to your home, and if you occasionally leave, your cats will be comfortable with just one person.

If you choose to do it this way, arrange a price to pay them, and then type out a list of instructions, give your house key, and your mail key if needed.

This is the method that I would suggest because cats eat up their food pretty well on a daily basis. Some cats eat fine when their owners are away and some don't eat very much, so they do need love and attention while you are away.

  4. if it will be impossible for you to ask somebody to look after them, then you have to leave cat-food in "biscuit" form (pellets like) that will last for about 4 days.  you'll never know what they will do once they see all the cat-food lying around.  and you also have to provide sufficient amount of water for them.

  5. If she is a people cat, I would think that the only way not to stress the animal is to have someone responsible (who she knows) come and feed her, spend 30 mins with her and clean her toilet box. Three days alone will surely stress poor kitty, as will a dirty toilet box and stale food. If you choose to own a pet, you have moral and legal responsibilities to care for that pet. I travel a lot so cannot keep a pet   :(. I love cats!

  6. yea he/ she will be OK just put all of their food in a BIG bowl!!!

hope you have fun on your trip

  7. geta  neighbor to come over and watch and feed ur cat. thts wht i did when i went to florida for a week

  8. Leave her food? Like a dozen cans of catfood opened.

  9. Measure out enough food for three days. Put a couple of bowls of water out, clean out the litter box. Good to go!

  10. Board it.

  11. Just make sure you put down enough food , water , clean the litter box and some toys out and the cat will take care of itself . Oh and if he/she is anything like mine , make sure you do not make it mad before you leave ; you will not like the results

  12. If you have a neighbour or friend you'd be comfortable asking, get them to go give her a pat and check she has food every day

If they don't live too close to you, maybe take her to a friend's place for the duration (maybe only do this if she's an indoorsy cat)

  13. Okay all you do fill your cat food bowl  up. Give your cat a bigger water bowl but enough for the weekend. Finally clean out your cats liter box and refresh it (meaning fill it up again). Also if you dont want your cat in a certain area of a house block it or just shut the door because cats can jump. Your cat should be OKAY if you do what i just said

  14. Do you have any neighbours that could take care of her? Or perhaps a cat kennel nearby? There are some sick people out there who do horrible things to animals, and if she's a people's kitty then it'd be all the easier to be nasty. But bad things like that isn't likely to happen, I guess. Make sure there's plenty of water, but with the food you have to be more careful because you can't just leave out three days worth of food...

  15. auto feeder and water dish with a bottle that attaches and if your still worried leave a bag of dry cat food where s/he can get at it. cats are resourceful s/he will be fine.

oh yeah clean the litter box.

ps if you have cable there are channels for cats to watch.

  16. If your friendly with your neighbours and trust them you can ask them to come into your house feed your cat and just play around with them for a bit or you can leave appropriate amounts of food in the house and atleast two litter trays to poo in for three days....somethin like that But it can be quite dangerous with the tv wires around the house plants he could eat and other dangerous things he could get up to whilst your gone

  17. You could have someone come and feed her while you are away, but if you don't have someone to come and watch her that's ok.  They make autofeeders and water dishes.  They hold extra food and water and are good for long trips.

  18. ok everybody else has given really good advice about food and water etc and i'd suggest following those

if you are still worried about leaving the cat alone because she's a people kitty then you can try leaving the radio or tv on so at least it can hear voices. might not help your electricity bill but will keep the cat company!

Cat's are very independent and are more than safe if left alone for a few days provided you follow the tips about food, water and a litter box. good luck

  19. Make sure you have plenty of food and water for her and the litter box is cleaned. Cats are ok by themselves, however if you feel like she needs a little people time have a TRUSTED friend or neighbor come by just to check on her.
