  1. That's good that you dont have to get surgery! It is much easier to just get it "popped." He will basically just stick a big needle in and drain it. It's very simple and much less painful than surgery. Though there is a chance that it will grow back and then you will have to have surgery.

If you have surgery you will most likely be able to have babies. With my sister they just removed the cyst and one tube. They probably wont give you surgery though. Just drain it. And no they wont go through your v****a they will go through the lower pelvis.

  2. I had an ovarian cyst when I was 12.  The first thing they tried was giving me birth control pills to shrink it.  That did not work so they surgically removed the cyst.  I had a small incision in my belly button area.  I was back to school in 3 days. It was not a big thing. I did not have a lot of pain. I understand that you are scared.  You need to ask your Dr what they are going to do so that they can explain to you what's going on.

  3. You don't "pop" an ovarian cyst... you either leave it right where it is and manage the consequences, or you surgically drain/remove the cyst (or sometimes remove the whole ovary) to get it out of the way... which isn't usually done on anyone of reproductive age unless there's no other option.

    EDIT:

Normally, getting it fixed involves a pelvic exam (which is a doctor inspecting everything in your privates, inside and out) before anything, but the surgery itself is done by making a very small hole in your belly and doing everything with a "laparoscope" and some cool miniature surgical tools.
