Ovechkin or Crosby?

you are starting a new team, you get to have ONE of these guys... who is it and why?

Ovechkin because he can do anything. He can shoot, pass, score, hit and lead a team. Also, he is less injury prone than Crosby. he has had 5 broken noses, and knocked out a tooth but he sucked it up and played.This season he had more points and i wouldnt be shocked if Crosby got hurt again next season and Ovie took the title again. Oveckin all the way!!!!

Crosby is the whole package. The way he plays is for the team. To him an assist is as good as a goal. Ovechkin is a pure goal scorer.He rather score three goals and look good and lose. Then set up a teammate look so-so and win. This one goes to Crosby.

Ovechkin. Crosby is great and all that, but Ovechkin brings an off ice personality as well. He has more personality, and it's easier to promote a guy who's exciting and interesting.

I'm a Red Wing fan, so I may change my mind after the finals (I hope not) but I would take Ovechkin.  This kid is an all around player that absolutely loves the game, I've never seen someone get so excited to score, no matter if it's a game winner or the fifth goal of a blowout.  Just the passion he plays with I would take him.  Nothing against Crosby he is a great player I just like Ovechkins passion more. Go Wings!

Nether, Evgine Malkin is a great player but is over look by the talent of Crosby and ovechkin. This man finished 2nd in the point standings to only one man, ovechkin. I don't think Ovechkin is ready to carry a team on his shoulders yet. They barley made it to the play offs. And lost to Philly, whom Pitt beat. Malkin carried the pens when Crosby was hurt and still did amazingly. But if I had to chose Ovechkin. I think.

oveckin becuase he's dedication is his medication, he cares about his team more than his scoring race even though he loves to score.  He hits and he skates back and he does this

As you are thinking about the first couple years of the franchise here, you have to go with the most exciting player with the most "magical" personality.  

   To this end, I think you have to go with Ovechkin!  I can't remember seeing any player in my 38 years who enjoys hockey this much!  When he scores, he explodes with joy.  When someone else on his team scores, he explodes with joy.  When he hits someone, he explodes with joy.

   Now, I think Crosby is going to have a longer career than Ovechkin-the-assassin - no one can hit, and be hit, that much and last for 20 years.... but we are talking about starting a franchise here and getting people in your city excited about going to see a hockey game!  Thus, the first few years of that franchise are key!

   And Ovechkin is the man to get non-hockey fans to become hockey fans!  

   He does everything out there and never, ever stops going!  I heard that the Energizer Bunny has retired and that Ovechkin has replaced him!  Watching Ovechkin out there is awe-inspiring to me, a guy who has played high levels of hockey and watched the NHL all my life!

    I watched every minute of his first-round series this year because of how much fun he is to watch!  Comparatively, I watched one game of the Pitt - Ottawa series!  I am born and raised Toronto, so I have no affiliation in any of the teams in those two series, but it was Philly - Washington that I wanted to watch and when each game was over.... I couldn't wait for the next one to begin!  All because of Ovechkin!

Sidney is more multi-dimensional, but Ovechkin is more powerful....Ovechkin is the one for me..the physical aspect (and more durable) is what does it and he has the scoring touch also.

Not to mention what would happen if Ovie was surrounded by some real teammates?  WATCH OUT.

I would take Ovechkin because he scores way more goals! he is also really fast and I like his accent. I think he could be Jesus in a movie.

I like none of them. However my bf does.. He loves Crosby and Ovechkin. I bought 2 jerseys of Crosby and Ovechkin for his birthday. Bad....We broke just few weeks before his birthday..
