Oven Light is opposite what it should be

Question

We have a Whirpool electric oven (model: GMC305PDB1) and when the door is open, the light is off When the door is shut, the light turns on. When you try to turn the oven on, the display reads "door" and it won't turn on. It's closely properly, but the switch is opposite what it should be.
