Oven and stove top not getting hot.

Question

I am trying to get a Jenn Air Oven Model # 88370 working for a freind. There was a short in the oven light switch. It was arcing so I wire nutted off and removed it. Now the owner is saying that the oven and stove top is getting warm but not hot. What can cause this. I don't have much experenice on working on ovens, so any info would be great. Thanks
