Hi We bought a Stoves Genus in Feb 2007. We have about 4/5 power cuts per year and to date, the oven has done as expected, the display panel flashes and we need to reset. Last week, we had a power failure and when we got home, we could smell burning. The smell was coming from the oven. The display panel was completely off, but the oven had obviously been on and was very hot. Turning the oven on from the mains wall switch (controls oven and hobs) we got an error message F3 and so we turned it off. We've talked to Stoves and they're friendly and coming to take a look, but they seem unconcerned that the oven could switch itself on following power failure. The display panel is now obviously damaged and we have the mains switch permanently off as when we turn it on for the hobs, the oven is coming on too even though there are no lights on and it's clearly heating very fast. Have you seen this before? Do you think we are over reacting if we request a replacement oven? Many thanks for your help.
