Oven elements just stopped working

Question

Was using oven for several days for (bake status) heating the home and it worked just fine. I turned it off two mornings ago before I went to work and when I came home that evening I turned it on, the lights (bake and on) came on like it was working and heating but no heat was coming from either element top or bottow. the burners on top work all the lights come on the elements just stopped working. I have never used the boiler element? Is there some kind of switch that controls the elements?
