  1. If you can afford about $50. to have it checked out, it might be worth it. I had a stove do the same  thing. They said it was the safety valve & it would cost as much for the part as a new stove. Don't waste money on parts it may not need. Get it checked first.


  2. If it is gas then the pilot light for the oven may have gone out.  It doesn't happen often but I can.  There should be a small hole near the front that you should be able to get a match or long lighter into turn the oven on and you should hear a pop like when you start the burners.  If it is electric then sorry I can't help you.

  3. your heating element is burned out - get a new one at Lowe's or Home Depot or Sears . . .

    There are a couple of possibilities.  This site will help you troubleshoot your problem.

  5. you need a new heating element. pull the plug then take out the old heating element at the back of the oven. take it to an appliance store and replace.
