Oven keeps tripping when switched on

Question

Hi, recently our electric oven has tripped whenever we switch it on, it doesnt even warm up just trips and trips all other appliances and lights in the kitchen as well even though no other appliances (besides the fridge and freezer) are being used or even switched on.
Im not sure if this is relevant but our suburb has been experiencing regular power outages ( courtesy of our national provider) for the past few months- ould this contribute to the damage of our oven?
