Oven won't unlock

Question

Maytag Advanced cooking system, electric wall oven, single. 30 inch.

I tried cleaning the oven, and half way through the process got an "F1" error message. I pressed cancel and waited, but even now that the oven is cool it won't unlock. I've turned off the power and back on again, no go.
