  1. Most certainly, and remember that nothing can outrun the radio.

So if they are chasing you on the highway they just need to keep up until the guys ahead of them can stop you.

(I had an old cop car once and it could do better than 130mph)

  2. Nahhh..

Cops only chase speeders that are going really slow - only 15 over.

The ones that go twice the posted speed limit and put themselves and every other car on the road at extremely high risk of death (because that's what a wreck at 120 is going to do to you and the car you hit)....get to speed with out penalty or fear of being chased or caught.

Not only will the cops chase you .....you will get charged with speeding, reckless driving and any other charge the cop can think the throw at you.

  3. Some states have laws or departmental policies about high speed chases, but usually the decision to chase is usually more discretionary than a set speed.

  4. It probably depends on which state your in, but most will chase you no matter how fast you're going.

  5. YES !  Been there done that.

  6. Yeah i think they're "allowed" to. But all they'd be doing is putting other people in danger

  7. Yes if they're dumb enough to do that..

  8. While cops are allowed to go that fast, many will just stay back a bit and follow the speeder. (It all varies on their departments chase policies and regulations) (Traffic also comes into factor when determining when and how to follow.)

There have been a lot of high speed chases around where I live in the Metro Atlanta area and cops do follow them at high speeds as well as preform pit maneuvers

  9. They can, and depending on the circumstances, and location they will.  At that speed, the chase shouldn't last too long.  The pursued vehicle will most likely crash.

  10. My guys are not pursuing a traffic violator that is going 120 mph.

We will just get the can opener ready to remove the car from the tree a mile or so down the road however.

  11. sure.

or they just send a helicopter after you.  then they get ya
