  1. Sounds like your throttle position sensor.

  2. IT SOUNDS LIKE YOUR CAR MIGHT HAVE A VACUUM LEAK CHECK THE HOSES AT THE BACK OF THE ENGINE AS AFTER A TIME THESE HOSES COLSPES CHECK FOR NOISES LIKE HISSING OR AIR LEAKING ALLSO CHECK THE THROTTLE LINKAGE TO SEE IF THE CABLE IS TO TIGHT

  3. I would say take it in for a tune up somthing is not right there. it  sounds like it could be running too rich. this is most likely a computer issue and can be corrected with about 30 mins on a cose reader.

is there a check engine light?

does it restart right after or does it flood?

  4. The make and year would be a major help , some cars are using a "drive by wire system " where the pressure on the pedal is converted to an electrical signal and in turn a computer feeds the carb , others work direct

  5. You haven't helped us much as you haven't named the car! Faults can occur with throttle sensors which are relatively cheap to replace. Or it could just be a loose connection to the sensor. Take it to a main dealer if you can't locate the sensor which is usually a quadrant at the end of the throttle cable, under the bonnet.

  6. You could have a clutch problem.
