In life in general and in some jobs (something that deals with creating for example). Is it good or bad to have over-active imagination?

  1. Some of the greatest minds had overactive imaginations...  painters, poets, writers, inventors.  Think how people must have looked at Bell when he said, I have this idea to create a device to talk to people over long distances...  or when Franklin was out in the rain with a key and a kite, people thought he was just a crazy guy I bet...

  2. if your imagination is soooo overactive that it is to the point of hallucination then yes, you do have a problem. otherwise, you are in luck. i would recommend a job in one of these fields: architecture, graphic design, marketing, or artistry. you are lucky to be creative and have imagination, i am boring and mathematical.

  3. Its absolutely a plus.

I wondered when I was younger whether my "pretending" games that lasted for hours on end in my room were a problem, but I've turned out just fine.  My zaniness and creativity have helped me build good relationships, and I'm the second youngest person at my job but am very much excelling

  4. I have an overactive imagination and in some situations it can be good and in others it can be very bad. I think it's good for some jobs when they need people to come up with unique ideas or better versions of an idea. It's only bad when you are not able to concentrate or your ideas aren't even in the realm of possibility. (unless you're in the movie idea business)

  5. Give me a better example then i can probably diagnose your problem
