  1. Either snap in the wrist and follow through come to mind.

  2. sorry i am NOT professional

  3. throw the ball a little higher then 2 feet. your going to want to hit the upper 1/3 of the ball with your palm, and snap your wrist over the top when you follow through. It is basically like jump serving or hitting from the back row.

  4. ok so u have to throw the ball lower and hit more of the top. it takes a long time to make it go over and slant and go straight down but do those two things and it shood be lower.. kepp practicing and it'll be great! Good Luck.

  5. to get a float (the one that swerves and is the hardest to pass) serve: hit the ball with the palm of your hand

to hit a topspin serve (the one tht spins down and drops right i front): hit the bal and roll your hand over it

to hit a side spin serve (same as topspin but to the side): hit the ball and roll your hand to the side

but the downward serve can either be a jump serve or a mega topspin

  6. toss the ball a normal height a bit in front of you and try to hit it at a relatively high point, you dont have to jump but kinda "popping" onto your toes helps, and snap the wrist to create top spin. be sure to step through your serve

  7. Just throw the ball higher and hit the ball on the top part of it but using ur palms.

  8. One option would be jump serve.

Jump serve or not, you want to toss the ball with a little back spin so that you can create more top spin on contact (but not necessarily on "top" of the ball), so the ball can be hit hard and "sink" quicker.

One more suggestion is that you mix your "hard serve" and floater (floater could have the effect of "sudden drop") to make your opponent hard to decide where to expect your ball, and whether to take it soft or hard.

  9. well on my volleyball team they call me the rocket because my serves could knock someone off their feet (ive done it before :) )

what i do is stand straight facing the net then (im not very tall) a short toss and then swing my arm (hard) at the ball and follow through so the ball will "down" over the net

    HOPE i Could Help

  10. to make it go down you need to hit it on top.  just extra info but but the number one serve is a floater.  i would recomend practicing that one as well

  11. Snap your wrist to generate a topspin on the ball. this will cause the ball to drop downwards along its flight path. This will result in more balls landing in bounds. Practice is the key.

  12. Maybe you should follow through with your wrists more and remember to always have one foot in front of the other when serving and bend your knees a little.

  13. Two ways.  Hit the ball more forward, less upward, but it's still a floater.  I think what you're looking for is topspin.  The answer to that is, snap your wrist on the serve, it's kind of like hitting at the net when you serve.

You'll need to practice it if you don't usually do it.  There's no "magic answer", and as good as your serve is, there will be people that can pass it up.  Topspin will drop faster, which is what  I think what you're looking for.

There really are only two volleyball serves, top spin and floater.  You can add other various spins and stuff, but it ultimately boils down to these two.  There are tweaks in your form that you might have to make to do either one, and practice is the only way you'll get anything that "really works".  You can always try jump serving, which is a hard topspin, my coach used to tell me though that jump serving is pretty useless if you're not getting pretty high over the net on your jump.
