Ok...so i need some help with over-hand serves. I can usually always hit the net ,and maybe 1 out of 20 times get it over the net with an over-hand serve, but this year we must serve over-hand for volleyball. Please, if you have any tips at all, they would be greatly appreciated! Please and Thank you! =)

  1. i had trouble to just focus then hit it with the palm of your hand if it helps make a fist

  2. okay, just breathe....

    relax, dont over stress!

toss the ball up, the toss should be about the height of your arm when you arm is extended upwards! step forward with your left foot (if your right handed) and than hit the ball with the palm of your hand! stepping gives your more power! give your whole bodies momentum! aim high! you can always bring it down later... just learn this, (called the floater) and than you can do top spin and stuff later!

just relax, take a breather! dont over stress and think about it, you should kinda just let it happen!

if this doesnt work, cuz i could NEVER get a floater serve over, do the same process as this and when you extend your arm upwards to hit the ball, snap your wrist and make your wrist at a 90ish degree angle! that makes it have spin!

    goodluck!

    remember, HAVE FUN!

  3. haha okay serving is a very tough thing to do, and it took me FOREVER to finally be able to do it the "right way" , so i definatly know where your coming from....here are some tips that i actually found extremely important and useful while learning how to get it over and just plain serve well.............

NEVER stand straight facing the court, angle yourself 45 degrees to the right

NEVER put extra steps into your serve, just step and drag, thats it

ALWAYS keep you hips, shoulder, arm, and hand OPEN!!!

NEVER try to just hit it as hard as you can, take time on checking your form, opening up and swinging through the ball

ALWAYS try to think about what your doing and where you want the ball to go

ALWAYS be positive and tell yourself "i can do it"

ALWAYS ask yourself "what went wrong" if you miss a serve or it does not go where you want it to go

***hope i helped and good luck with the serving!!!
