Over heard something now im hearing wedding bells?!

Question

So a couple weeks or so ago I over heard my boyfriend talking to one of his buddies about getting a ring and he's gonna talk to my mom about something and I thought nothing of it because her birthday was coming up and I just figured he was going to get my mom a ring for her birthday since he loves her so much, lol.

Well then a couple days ago we just got back from football practice

and he was going to go take a shower and I was doing some laundrey and I was just gonna put his in with mine since I was doing it anyways

So I take his gym bag and was putting his dirty clothes in and I reach into the side of it and find this little box I open it and I see this ring, its a mans ring and I didnt wanna touch it but c;mon Im a f*g and that was really shiny it was my size and to make it all "worse" my name was in graved into it =/

I put it back and just sat down and cryed.

But then yesterday he told me he wanted to go out to a nice place and have dinner and that I should make myself took all nice and what not

so I call my mom and say not to call tonight because we're going out and she says "I know" and then she starts to back track a little

so now I fersure know that my boyfriend is going to pop the question and Im freaking the f!@# out

I know I'm ready and I wanna say yes really bad but the only thing I'm worryed about is they way Im gonna say it

I know Im gonna cry and Im gonna turn into this big baby and I dont wanna do that.

anyone know how I can avoid of turning into a big baby?

he's gonna be here at 10:00 so I have like 25 minutes

You sound really young to be getting married, but that's none of my business! What you asked was, 'anyone know how I can avoid of turning into a big baby?' and that is my business, and so..... you can't, you're getting engaged! I'm sure he'll expect you to get emotional, he wouldn't want to marry a robot!

Take deep breaths, and keep concentrating on your breathing.  I've found that helps to keep from crying.

But don't be ashamed to cry!  Tears of joy are a good thing, and I'm sure your future husband will feel touched!

Awww congrats hun :) Wish I was the one getting engaged lol Who cares if you cry. It is an emotional time and lots of people cry. Just be excited and give your bf a big hug and kiss after he asks you. I would say order a bottle of champagne to celebrate but you're not lega to drink yet :(

Don't worry about planning what to say or do.  Just react however you do.  If you cry, so what.  That emotional side is probably part of what he loves about you.

If you think you are going to cry, cover your mouth (with both hands) so he will think you are surprised and not going to break into tears and after he pops the question, just grab him in a big hug (so he can't see your face) until you are more composed and ready to give him a verbal answer and look him in the face.  (Just make sure your mascara/eyeliner doesn't run.)

So if you cry what is the big deal? your happy and you love him I think that is great! Just don't let on that you saw the ring because he could be really hurt, he really wants to surprise you. Congratulations.
