Over-the counter, Firearm Suppressors? France or Finland?

Wikipedia says, in countries like Finland or France, firearm suppressors are unregulated and are an over the counter item?

Is that true or is that bull c**p? Anybody French or Finnish?

  1. Believe it or not, it's true!

    There's many european countries where hunting without a suppressor is frowned upon! Go figure the logic behind that one.......


  2. In the UK they are available with comparatively little trouble.  They are veiwed as safety equiptment.  It protects your ears and your dog's ears and does not disturb the peace.

    Canadians can also have short barreled rifles and shotguns

    Silencers and SBRs are regulated and not there because we had Bonnie and Clyde and they didn't

    Many of the NFA prohibitions were due in large part to the antics of B&C and their ilk

    As infuriating as it is, it seems that many countries trust their law-abiding citizens more than the bleeding-heart gun grabbers that have been running OURS (into the ground) for so many years.

    As well as suppressors, there are many countries where NO firearms or accessories are under the ridiculous legal controls they are in our 'FREE' United States, including selective-fire weapons and other so-called 'destructive devices'. All it takes is the 'GOLD'. . . . . .
