I REALLY hate the feeling that roller coasters give you,but I really have the urge to face my fears. There are some rides that one part of me tells me to go on and the other part of me tells me not to go.Mostly because the worst IO've been to was Ghost rider in Knott's berry farm.It was fun the first time i tried it so about a year later i went on it again, because I thought I would show my friends how brave i was...WOW was I wrong..the second time i was screaming like there was no tomorrow.I've had a phobia of big roller coasters ever since. But now I really want to try Tower of terror,Rock n Roller coaster, and Expedition Everest but I keep stopping myself because I think of all roller coasters as scary.Help?

  1. If you plan to go to disneyworld soon, i recommend facing your fears on a tiny coaster first. As in, try riding the coaster in mickey's toontown, then work ur way up 2 the big ones. Just remember that there is a VERY small chance of you dieing on a roller coaster. wait...that probably doesn't help much.

  2. Rock and Roller coaster was the ride that I lost my fear on.  I would say you should start with that one.  Nothing scary about it.  Juts make sure to keep your eyes open!

  3. just do it they're fun !!

  4. I used to have the same problem, but you'll deal with it. Just conquer your fears! =)

  5. they are not scary just think of it as something you don't get to do that often... it kinda takes your mind off all your problems! think about it. you are not worrying about that one boy when you are on it are you???

  6. I had the same problem....Whenever i went on a roller coaster for the first time I'd always close my eyes and count to 100 then the ride would be over and I would go on again with out doing that!

You asked me to answer so i am!

  7. the whole point of riding a roller coaster is to get that feeling

  8. just maybe start trying it out but dont sit in the very front or in the very back sit more in the middle. you want to sit in the middle because in the front you will know what happens next but then in the back it is bumpy so sit in the middle and it may help you feel comfortable.

  9. you don't have to do it becuz of peer pressure, but if you really want to then i say go for it. if you scream, oh well. if you puke, oh well.

  10. I think the best thing 2 do is go 2 Mall Of America. There They have small roller coasters. You can ride those a lot. Then you build up confidence and you just work your way up to big ones!

  11. Just do it. It might seem scary at first, (especially right before u get on the ride) but just go for it, and if roller coasters are for you, then you'll have a great time! also, if you arent a fan of high speeds, dont go on a fast roller coaster. if you dont wanna go upsode down, dont. dont feel that all roller coasters are for everyone.

  12. best way to get over ur fear is to conquer it u just have to get on one

  13. I actually have the same problem, and I, too, am trying to recover.  I LOVE rollercoasters, I just often find myself crippled by fear before boarding them.  When I do actually get to try them, though, I have a great time.  My fear branched from my first rollercoaster ride in fourth grade, on the Millennium Force. BAD choice.

Anyway, if you plan on visiting a park, read up on all the rollercoasters they have there, jot down the heights (or speeds or whatever gives you the jitters), and start from the lowest, advancing to the highest.  You may get so pumped, your fear will dissipate!  Ride with someone you trust, such as a best friend or parent, and laugh and goof off during the first lift hill.  Usually lift hills are the most terrifying part of the whole rollercoaster experience, so not being able to hear the chain clicking could calm your nerves.

    Good luck, and have fun!

  14. just go for it!!! i always get a little scared on the roller coasters but think nothin bad can happen then i go and have a blast!!!

  15. The best way i got through it was to go with a friend... and not to be scary or anything, tower of terror feels really scary, for one thing it pulls you down like 3 times faster than gravity, but rockin roller coaster is really fun, i had a blast, the only bad thing there was i thought the ride was going to break, cause they just got done fixing it...

  16. I have a small phobia too. I've seen some non-fiction shows where rollar coasters fall! So I don't like the ones that go upside down :(

  17. The best way to get over a fear is too face it.

  18. omg i <33 all those rollar coasters. there not as bad as all the commercials and stuff seem. dont wry, they are so much fun!! i was scared before i went on, but after i went on i luved them and went on like, 10 more times!!!!
