Overdante, Oscar Baby likely to battle hard in Hardings Catering Supports CICRA Novices´ Handicap Hurdle at Fontwell
There are plenty of fascinating contestants in the line-up, but only Overdante and Oscar Baby seem to be in good position to win Hardings Catering Supports CICRA Novices´ Handicap Hurdle, set to take place at Fontwell on Friday,
April 20, 2012.
Both dashing runners are all set to unleash their talent in the 2m4f meeting, which will start at 15:05 GMT. Among the confirmed entries for the class 5 event are:
Overdante, Oscar Baby, Beattie Green, Owner Occupier, Bon Spiel, Timmies Gone, Who Owns Me, Hill Forts Gloria, Milans Well, Silsula, The Omen, Achieved, Sahara Sunshine and Admiral Blake.
Overdante is desperate for the first success of her career. After displaying a few lacklustre performances at the start of her journey, the 10-year-old improved her work significantly.
In her most recent outing, she exhibited a fine show to ensure the runner-up place in the Bet totepool On All UK Racing Novices' Handicap Hurdle at Plumpton.
After an excellent effort, the Charlie Longsdon-trained is determined to grab the top spot. However, she will have to deliver more than one hundred percent to bag the winning prize worth £1,819.
Oscar Baby is h**l-bent to continue her winning campaign. The-six-year was not impressive at the start of her career, as she did nothing special in her first few appearances. After suffering a lot of hard time, Diana Grissell’s
succeeded in breaking the shackles on April 09.
Under Mr N Halley, the mare secured the top position by staggering 29 lengths in the 1824 Fakenham Membership Novices' Handicap Hurdle at Fakenham. With such a massive victory under his belt, the Emmet Halley-owned is full of
spirit.
Another contender with fair chances is Owner Occupier. The seven-year-old has been performing consistently over the past few weeks, but victories are dried up for him. In his previous trip, Chris Gordon’s trainee ended up third
on the table.
Owner Occupier has an ability to spring up a surprise, but the real clash will be between Overdante and Oscar Baby. Our vote goes to Overdante, who is more consistent than her major rival. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
