Overdose... What will happen?

I've taken 30 slimming pills and 16 paracetamols in two days. I've also only ate like a sandwich. Will the pills cause enough damage to kill me?

Yeah, they could shut down your kidneys or your liver...it would take a few days.

Yes, they will.  You will collapse from malnutrition or experience some form of organ failure.  Suggestion:  Go the the hospital and get off the pills you dope!

Well, I take 10 paracetamols w/ codeine in one day and I'm still alive. I did inform my doctor and he said it wasn't the best thing I could do but I'll live.  As for the slimming pills.. I've exceeded the amount and I'm still alive.

Possibly. Death from overdosing on paracetamol accidentally is quite common, a lot of women do it when they have period cramps. It kills you by causing liver and other organ failure so even though you are still alive it can kill you long term.

12 pills in 16 pills in two days in NOT an overdose, as long as we're talking 200mg pills and not the 500mg whammies.

Slimming pills are about a million times more likely to kill you than paracetamol though, they tend to give you heart attacks and strokes. Please stop taking them!

Worse than that. You could end up disabled for life, and that's a misery you'll have to live with. Carry on as you are if you want to destroy your liver, muscles, teeth etc. Why are you doing it? You won't make anyone care more about you and you are only damaging yourself.

depends on how resilient your body is and how sensitive your liver is to the medications ...

you need to tell a medical professional and get some blood work done and stop taking the pills ...

I was hospitalized for liver failure b/c I am sensitive to TYLENOL (same thing, normal dose) ...  I am NOT allowed to take ANY for the rest of my life and years later am still on regular check-ups ...

don't risk it ...  stop dosing and get checked out ...

Well I had about 80 voltertrol and 16 paracetomol. Nothing happened. I passed out and felt very sleepy. Also, they said that my Liver would probably fail, but it did not. I am still on regular checks though. If I feel dizzy and that then I must tell the Hospital or a Doctor immediately. But, no the tablets you took I wouldnt say would kill you, if they were going to you would have been dead by now.

Be careful with those pills, even when you eat properly because they contain elements that cause tachycardia.

The best way to lose weight is exercising and eating healthy meals. (by the way a sandwich is not enough for a day!)

I don't know what is in the slimming pills, but yes they could cause serious damage. Taking a combination of pills like this is stupid, you won't just fall asleep and not wake up, you'll die a slow and painful death. If you *have* taken the pills go to a&e now.

If you haven't taken the tablets you should seriously grow up and stop trying to seek attention.

If you take too many Paracetamol they'll make your sick because your only meant to take 8 500Mg's in 24 Hours.  Go to your local A&E Dept & say you need to speak to someone in the PSY Dept about your mental Health.  Take Care.

As few as 22 paracetamol tablets can cause a slow painful death from Liver failure, I suggest you go to A&E ASAP for evaluation. And taking the slimming pills? Depending on what they are; generally useless on both counts, there is only ONE way to lose weight. Eat healthy, reduce calorie intake, and vigorous exercise. Now go seek help.
