It's according to the strength of those pills. I certainly find too much value in my life to 'let it go down' like that. Just think of all of the hateful folk who don't like you or me and who would be glad to 'step down' on your demise. Don't ever let that happen. I work daily to elevate my standards so that I am better and better. We will all get enough sleep in the grave. Thus, I am not seeking ANY sleeping pills, tablets, etc. to help me 'blind down my grief' about this or that disappointment. What shall we then say to these things? If GOD be for us, WHO can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with BENEFITS, even the GOD of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19   Peace!!!

Can do, if you take enough. Benzodiazepines are pretty safe actually, but if you take a lot, and vomit in your sleep, it can cause death. I've seen patients comatose for a week needing ventilation after a benzo overdose, they came round and were fine. Had they not had good anaesthetic care though they may well have died...it only takes a few minutes of no breathing.
