  1. You need to take responsibility for your money, or you'll never have any.  As most have said, start writing everything you withdraw in you check register the minute you spend the money.  Get a calculator and subtract it from your balance.

You could try using cash instead.  Sometimes people will spend less if they see the money dwindling as they use it.

You gotta grow up on this one right away.  Make yourself a budget.  Make your lunches and you'll save a bundle right there.  Add up all the overdraft fees you pay in a month.  You might as well have flushed all that cash.  Think of how much money you'd have if you put that amount in a savings account or IRA?  If the overdraft fees came to $100 a month, you'd have $1,200.00 a year you could have saved plus interest.

You can also change to a bank that will give you overdraft protection.  Those are usually tied to a savings account, so you'll have to start saving money.  You can do this!  We all did, and you're as smart as the rest of us, right?

  2. I don't have an account with bank of america. But my bank offers a overdraft protection by tying together my checking and savings account. If I use my account and am short money, they pull it out of my savings to cover it then I don't have the overdraft fee. Check to see if you bank offers the same type of thing.

Now you also need to do some bookkeeping. Write down deposits, debits and checks or you will never get on top of it. All the over draft fee's do not help either. Just because you have checks does not mean you can write one if you don't have money in the bank.

    Hope this helps.

  3. You need to break yourself of the very bad habit of going overdraft and you need to stop being 'bad with money'.  You need to live within your means and not use the debit card as if it was paper money - it's not.  You need to know exactly how much is in your account and not spend all of it and go overdraft every month.  This is not Bank of America's fault and they will not remove overdraft fees.

  4. You're supposed to keep track of the money in your account.  You should get out the register you got with your checks and start writing everything down.  It's your responsibility to make sure you don't spend more than you have.

If you overdraw your account all the time, it's unlikely that they will remove any of the fees.  It doesn't hurt to call and ask them though.

    Good luck.
