I am a customer at Regions bank. Yesterday I deposited a check for 600 dollars. The check was supposed to go into my account but instead went into my wife's. I didn't have a personal deposit slip at the time because I was on my home from work and wanted to deposit this check as soon as possible. The teller asked me which account did I want to deposit the money into, and I told her "The account where I am the primary.".Because that did not happen I ended up with 280 dollars in overdraft fees. The bank refuses to refund my money and is trying to tell me that this was my fault because I should have checked the deposit slip to make sure the money went into my account. It doesn't seem fair that I have to make sure that their employees are doing their jobs correctly. Because of this error I don't have enough money to pay my rent this month. I really need help.
