Ok, so I had 7 bucks left on my bank of america checking account after I went shopping. On July 28th, I went to go buy eyeliner, which was about 6 dollars. Well I have keep the change setting, so it took more out as usual so it could round the cents off and put some into my savings account. So when I was up at like midnight on friday(aug 1) I checked my balance since I wanted to know how much I got paid for this pay period. And apparently I had a -0.42 on the account. What is going to happen?! How much will I owe?! :(

Oh and right away I transferred 5 dollars from my savings to my checking.

  1. if you are lucky, they won't charge you as the overdrawn amount is so little....then again, if they feel like it, you still have to pay the overdraft as it is stated in your Fee Schedule. I don't think they will charge you for that amount though, but you can always call customer service if it happens to have them waive it for you as a curteousy.

  2. In my experience Bank of America takes every opportunity to charge $35 every time you overdraft, even if it is only by ten cents!  Hopefully because you immediately transferred $5, you caught it before they did, but do not be surprised if they charge you $35 for being 42 cents overdrawn - they have done it to me in the past!  Good luck!
