We just installed track lighting around our office. Each track has three 50W halogen lights in them. They hang at about 8 ft. They are blinding us! The light is so bright that people are miserable and complaining. We point them away from us, but if even a corner of a bulb catches your eye, you're blinded and stumbling into things. The color seems unnaturally white too. We aren't sure how to solve this. Will a lower wattage bulb solve the dazzle-problem? Any recommendations? Are there bulbs with a frosted front to diffuse the light? (I couldn't find any). can we make diffusers ourselves? Could we get warmer colored bulbs? Put up Gels?
