Overnight parking in streets by utility firms vans pick ups etc should this be allowed some households have 4?

cars and 4 utility vechiles parked overnight some residents hav to park about 4 streets away because of this that is one of factors why our bills are getting higher because they cost about £20 feul per week average extra to take them back and foe and causing inconvience to neighboughs

If they are legally parked there is nothing that can be done, All Vehicles have to be parked somewhere.

never mind the utility firms, i have a couple of council workers living in my cul desac, between the 2 family's they have including council vans, 10 vehicles  a boat and a box trailer.

Good question, in my area my deeds to my house clearly state NO commercial vehicles to be kept at my house (and estate) overnight, neighbours have complained about the numerous vans being parked ontop of the 3-4 cars for some of the houses and they have parkign for 1-2 cars only and they park the oil leaking van outside others houses, it doenst particulary bother me but it does cause a few access issues. as they park on pavements, restrict road widths, and then start up a noisey diesel at 6am-7am most mornings and in winter is even worse, they start up the van and go indoors for a brew to allow the van to warm up!. (even worse for my neighbour how works nights..)

worth taking up with the council though, see what they say!

Should it be?  Perhaps not.  Is it allowed?  I have no idea as to the rules where you are, especially since you didn't bother to give a location.  Call whoever would be in charge of such things, and ask.

Well don't moan here have a moan at the Council and your local councillor. i had a problem with a man running an undertakers and sometimes we had two hearses and a private ambulance parked around us for a while. A few jokes about thank ing him for reminding us of our mortality seemd to do the trick after a while. Who has authorised the utility vehicles to be used to transport people home? It may be saving money getting to the job earlier--- i doubt it
