  1. In nature when a species gets overpopulated, disease, increased predation and/or lack of food sets in to control the population.  Us humans have controlled many dangerous diseases, we have good weapons so we aren't about to be eaten by other species and we have highly intensified farming to keep the food supply up.  In other words we have created conditions so that we are not only overpopulated but very dangerously so.

Ecology is a balance game and we have upset the balance with our technological meddling.  We may be able to right it again but we may not, we just don't know how irreversible the danger is.

Saying that its not our problem is downright irresponsible.  We only have one planet for all to share and we better figure out a better way to share things and pretty quick.

  2. its a big problem. the earth supports 6 billion people today when it can only really handle a population half that size. if we continue to grow, which we will then we are going to destroy the planet forest by forest, making room for us, and without the Forest's then our atmosphere is going to warm up even more and then the world wont be the same as we know it. and for anyone who doesn't believe in global warming just take a look at the cyclone that hit and is going to hit maynamar.

  3. Nothing to worry about in our lifetime.
