Overwhelmed with Kitchen Options?

I can't decide on a new cabinet species or stain. We are moving into this house in less than 2 weeks and still haven't decided on what to go with so I will be kitchenless for a while. The wood for the floors is gunstock stained oak which is a medium warm stain but that is not in the kitchen. I can't pick out flooring for this kitchen either. Any neat ideas. The counters too, not granite though? I appreciate all the woods the more I look. Appliances too. The trim is ivory painted. And the walls I went with a neutral tan just to get that over with for the sake of paint fumes to be gone when we move in. My husband is starting to like the Shaker Mission style too. But should it match wood floors or golden oak like my table and chairs? Should I avoid Oak altogether and do more popular maple?

i think that some of these things you will have to decide for yourself.  how pretty or functional do you want your kitchen to be?  how do you want to feel when you walk into your kitchen?  what colors make you happy when you look at them?  take a look at some of these options

Personally, I love maple, but your preference would be fine, whether oak, maple, or a combination of the above!  Wood color contrast is interesting and many people prefer it.
