when do you ovulate and when is the best time to try and conceive?

You can get and ovulation predictor test and try a couple weeks after you have your period when you ovulate, have s*x that night and maybe again the next night, good Luck

If you are a 28 day cycle, you ovulate the 14 day afte the 1st day of your period.

Ovulation usually occurs 10-16 days before you expect your period (the number is different from woman to woman, but pretty consistent within each woman) For me I count back 14 days from the day of my expected period and that is when I ovulate. It is best to have s*x very often a few days before on and a few days after ovulation (to make up for any error in counting). Good luck and baby dust!

BlueEyesTTC is right, but also, check your cervical mucous, in your panties or when you wipe, as a secondary sign.  You should be most fertile when your cm is clear and stretchy (stretches more than an inch).  This is one of the easiest signs to recognize when you are first trying.
