Ovulation Question pls?

I am on cd12 and not ovulated yet. But I think I have ovulation pains because I have a backache which isn't normal and stomach cramps. I want to chart...im checking my temp, ovulation, but I am unsure how to check for cervical mucus and what it means. Sometimes there is sperm in my underwear from intercourse so how do u know which is which? I know it sounds silly but its confusing. What shall I be looking for?.

CM is actually really easy to detect.  You can just look at the tp after you wipe or if you want a more accurate picture of what's happening, use two fingers and gently squeeze any mucous from the tip of your cervix.  When you ovulate your CM should be clear, thin and stretchy.  Many people call this EWCM or egg white cervical mucous.  It is called EWCM because it resembles uncooked egg whites.
