Ovulation Testers? sill question.. lol.. please help?

A generous soul here in yahoo answers, sent me the Ovuclear Ovulation Fertility Tester for TTC and well as dumb as it sounds, how do I use it? lol I mean I know how but how do I get my saliva into the eyepiece area that is soo small.

I originally was assuming that it would be big enough and you just licked your finger and dabbed it on the eyepiece but that's just not possible as it's too small, How do I get the saliva where it has to be? Do I have to actually spit on it?

I used one of those and found it got harder to read each time. I would recommend a digital one even tho they are pricier.  The instructions in mine said to let a dab of spit roll off your tongue (that allows u to control quanity of spit kinda), let dry and put onto the plastic plate u put under the eyepiece. If you don;t have those than I believe u can purchase them at a drugstore. The instructions also stated that you should not use anything (including fingers) to touch the saliva as you won;t have as accurate of results. Personally I gave up on mine and went to using a Basal Temperature thermometer to verify when i was ovulating. Hope I helped and good luck with everything :)

Of sorry I just looked to see what mine is and its an Ovu-Trac. So it may be slightly different but I would still follow the rules of the saliva part (rolling from tongue and no touching it) :)

Yes, lol.  You have allow a small bit of saliva to drop onto the microscope, then let it dry for five minutes, maybe, then check for ferning.
