  1. Ovulation only happens once a month.  It's when the egg is released to be fertilized.  The actual ovulation process isn't more than a day....actually, it's probably a matter of minutes or less.  Once the egg is released, it stays alive for 12-24 hours.  So, it needs to be fertilized during that time for conception to occur.  However, you are fertile before you ovulate.  Sperm can live inside you for a few days....usually no more than three.  So, you are fertile in the days before ovulation, the day of ovulation, and possibly the day after.

Clear, watery discharge is a sign of upcoming ovulation.  The most fertile cervical mucus resembles egg whites.  This cervical mucus can keep sperm alive the longest.

As far as the blood....if you are ovulating, then it's not implantation.  However, it's possible to have discharge after ovulation.  If you've passed ovulation, then it very well could be implantation bleeding.  Usually you can get a positive home pregnancy test result a day or two after implantation.

I hope this helps.  Best of luck and lots of baby dust!

  2. The clear 'stuff'  you're talking about is fertile cervical mucus.  You will only ovulate on *one* day.  It is possible to have several days of the fertile stuff before ovulation.  It typically dries up quickly after ovulation, so if you're figuring ovulation by the mucus, consider the last day of it your ovulation day.  A tinge of blood in the mucus would not mean implantation, as that happens about 5-10 days AFTER ovulation/fertilization.  The blood you are seeing may be from the bursting follicle as the egg is released.  It's actually a very good fertility sign.
