Question:

Ovulation strips, did they work for you?

My friend is pregnant and has been using the ovulation strips for a while. She keeps telling me to try them, because she is convinced they helped her. I was measuring my BBT, but have been finding it difficult to keep track, so i want to try the ovulation strips. My question is:

1) how many of you believe that they do help?

2)On which day of your cycle should you start using them?

Thanks

  1. i use the one step ones from ebay. i found that the normal sensitivity ones 30miu were not sensitive enough for me so i swapped to the 15 miu ones and bingo got a positive ovulation this month and now on the 2ww!!! . they are very cheap and cost around £4 for about 25 www.homehealth-uk.com or ebay to find them. The start date is dependant on your cycle length. On a 28 day its day 10/12 im a 33 day so i start on day 16 but they come with instructions etc.

Good luck hun i hope you get your bfp soon.

  2. I used clearblue digital opk's for 1 month and I am now 29 weeks pregnant with a healthy baby boy.  I would strongly recommend these to anyone trying to conceive because I am convinced that they allowed me to time intercourse perfectly and get the baby i so longed for. When you start using them depends on your cycle length but it tells you when to start on the leaflet that comes in the box!!!

Good Luck and hope you get the same joy as me and your friend!!!

  3. For me, they didn't work but the fertility monitor did. I started using them on day 9 of my cycle. Good luck!
