How common is it, around halfway through the second week of pills, to get ovulation symptoms? (mainly very sore b*****s). Does the pill sometimes mimic ovulation symptoms around the time ovulation would normally occur?

  1. When you are on the pill, you still ovulate. If you have a period when you are on the pill, then you still ovulate.

  2. Actually, you should not be ovulating.  The pill works by tricking your body into thinking you are pregnant, so you stop ovulating.  But it is possible still, depending on the pill you are on and your own body chemistry
